Summer Season - Front Desk

Start Date : July 2023 (Flexible)

Job Description

Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Handling check-ins and check-outs
  • Handling cash and credit card transactions.
  • Reviewing guest accounts to make sure the charges are correct.
  • Assisting with general guest and hotel enquiries.
  • Answering both in-house and outside calls.
  • Directing requests and issues to other departments within the hotel and back office for smooth daily operations.
  • Responding to email enquiries.
  • Checking guest details to ensure a seamless stay.
  • Handling private onsen booking requests.
  • Assisting Concierge, Bellman, Driver and other hotel duties when necessary.


  • Passionate about hospitality service.
  • Previous guest service experience is a plus.
  • Team player with a professional attitude.
  • Advanced Japanese language skill.

Employment Period

  • Early July to late October 2023 (Flexible)

Working Hours

  • 30-40 hours per week (as much as the candidate wants to work).

Pay Rate

  • ¥1,500 - ¥1,600 per hour (based on experience and skill).

Staff Accommodation

  • Summer seasonal accommodation can be provided at a very low rate (enquire for more details)
  • Available in Kutchan if you have a vehicle, or in Hirafu (approx 20 min walk to work)
