Winter Season - Skye Niseko Café Manager

Job Description
- Supervise day to day operations of Skye Café/Deli
- Opening up & Closing of the register
- Point of Sale (POS) ordering and sales
- Ensure and maintain high standards of customer service
- Provide direct contact and communication with guests and staff
- Food and Beverage stock monitoring and ordering
- Maintaining efficient communication with Central Kitchen
- Ensuring Coffee quality standards
- Café food menu control
- Following Sanitation & Safety guidelines in line with Japanese regulations
- Reporting and working along with the F&B Manager and Beverage Operations Manager
Qualifications
- Over 2 years’ experience in a Café or Restaurant environment
- Computer skills - Microsoft Office, PMS, POS
- Professional, courteous and friendly manner
- Natural team-leader with proven experience solving problems in a team environment
- Understanding on how to successfully operate a Café in order to deliver the required customer service
- Shows high levels attention to detail and ability to organize work to achieve objectives and deadlines
Job Particulars
Pay Rate
- ¥2,250 - ¥2,550 per hour.
- 25% overtime allowance for hours worked above prescribed working hours for the month.
- 25% late night allowance for work between 10pm and 5am.
Employment Period
- 10 November 2025 - 7 April 2026.
- Fully paid training at the start of the season.
Hours
- Generally 5 days per week, around 40 hours per week.
- Hours will vary through the season depending on business levels with less hours at the start and end of the season and occasional overtime during peak periods.

- If you do not need a pass, you will be offered a bonus payment of ¥50,000.
Travel Support Bonus
- ¥50,000 travel cost support bonus upon contract completion for new staff or ¥80,000 for returning staff.

- Subsidised staff accommodation available in Hirafu or Kutchan with all utilities, basic supplies and WiFi included.
- For staff based in Kutchan, there is a free staff shuttle to transport to and from work in Hirafu.
